A passenger jet with 60 passengers and four crew members collided in midair with a military helicopter late Wednesday while landing at Ronald Reagan National Airport in Virginia, near Washington, prompting a large search-and-rescue operation in the nearby Potomac River.

Palestinian militants began handing over three Israeli hostages in Gaza on Thursday in return for 110 Palestinian prisoners to be freed in the latest stage of a ceasefire deal.

Ukrainians in Kherson survived Russia's occupation. Now, they're being hunted by drones; Dmytro, 46, says he was at a gas station on Oct\. 23, 2024, in Bilozerka, Ukraine, when it was hit by a bomb dropped by a drone\. Shrapnel tore through his shoulder and hit his temple\. He had vision problems but he was able to drive himself to hospital\. Shortly after, he, his wife and their five kids then left their home and moved to the Kherson centre for evacuees, where the kids now sleep on bunk beds\. He only wanted his first name used for fear he and his family could be targeted by the Russians\.
