Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his U.S. counterpart spoke by phone Wednesday about the ongoing trade war and their senior officials have been in constant contact throughout the day as both sides discuss a deal to temporarily lift all tariffs or possibly negotiate carve-outs for certain sectors.

Call-centre crypto scammers unmasked as data leak exposes their schemes; A fraudster going by the name 'Mary Roberts,' working for a crypto-scam call centre based in the republic of Georgia, sent these photos to victim Marcel Deschamps from Alexandria, Ont\., in February 2024\. She pretended they were photos of her, her passport and her colleagues, but the passport photo was a fake and the personal photo was lifted from someone else's Instagram account\. \(CBC has partially blacked it out for that reason\)\.
