A new base for paramedics and ambulances has finally risen from the ashes after an electrical fire claimed the original building in a western P.E.I. community nearly two years ago.

Last fall, Summerside-based Linkletter Farms planted crimson clover as a cover crop, to hold potato field soil in place over the winter. Co-owner Mark MacEwen didn't expect it to survive the icy weather the way it does in other provinces, but it did. Now he's looking forward to seeing what it does next. CBC's Nancy Russell and drone operator Aaron Adetuyi went to Linkletter to have a look.

After two years of negotiations, Health P.E.I. has reached an agreement on wages for support services staff that the union representing the workers is calling "historic."

The P.E.I. Fishermen's Association says it is closely monitoring the situation after Fisheries and Oceans Canada restricted a fishing area off P.E.I. waters due to the detection of an entangled North Atlantic right whale very close to the Island's coast.
