Flames could been seen shooting out of Valley Truss and Metal starting about 5:15 p.m. AT, Kensington Mayor Rowan Caseley told CBC News.

University officials and Charlottetown Police Services say there was no need to issue an emergency alert to the public after UPEI was the target of a shooting threat just before Christmas last year. The school's faculty association thinks that decision was ill-advised.
