Written by playwright Dave Deveau, the show follows two male penguins who have their dream to start a family come true when they're gifted their own egg, which hatches their first baby chick, Hedgie. We'll hear from Deveau as well as Cameron Mackenzie, Deveau's husband and the play's director, about their parenting experience that inspired the production.
Co-presented by Carousel Theatre for Young People, Vancouver International Children's Festival, and Zee Zee Theatre, The Papa Penguin Play runs at The Waterfront Theatre May 17-June 2.
