WATCH — Can a live-action One Piece work? Here’s what kids think

 

This week, Netflix debuted its live-action adaptation of One Piece. Anime fans are likely familiar with the popular series — the original manga has sold more than 500 million copies worldwide, while its anime adaptation has aired more than 1,000 episodes since 1999. CBC Kids News asked attendees at Fan Expo, an annual pop culture convention in Toronto, Ontario, if they’ll watch the upcoming series and what they think of live-action anime adaptations.

This week, the 13th annual Streamy Awards took place in Los Angeles, California. The awards celebrated some of the internet’s most popular creators.
