Ticks: What they are, how to avoid them and what to do if you find one

Summer vacation is finally here, but that means ticks are, too. Lurking in the tall grass are tiny bugs that can latch onto humans and animals. While ticks can spread germs that can make you sick, that doesn’t mean you need to spend the rest of your summer hiding under the covers. Why well-known actor Chris Colfer wrote The Land of Stories series

Best known for his role as Kurt Hummel on the popular TV series Glee, actor Chris Colfer is also the author of the fantasy kids' book series, The Land of Stories. The six-book series is about a pair of twins who fall into a storybook world when they visit their grandma’s house.
