Canadian authors Anne Michaels, Claire Messud and Colin Barrett are among the 13 authors longlisted for the 2024 Booker Prize. 

The £50,000 (approx. $84,882 Cdn) prize annually recognizes the best original novel written in the English language and published in the U.K.

Keanu Reeves and China Miéville on co-writing a novel about an 80,000-year-old warrior

Superstar Canadian actor and musician Keanu Reeves can now add novelist to his list of accomplishments. His new speculative fiction work, The Book of Elsewhere was co-written with accomplished British author China Miéville.

In a recent Canadian broadcast exclusive interview with Q's Tom Power, Reeves says his desire to constantly search for new creative outlets is "born out of a feeling of pleasure."
