Downtown Calgary stabbing leaves 1 dead after 3 weeks in hospital; Gurdeep Singh Mundi, 37, was identified by the Calgary Police Service as the victim of a stabbing on July 24\. He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, and police said he died from those injuries on Wednesday\.

Calgary police say the victim of a July 24 stabbing near the Calgary Drop-In Centre has succumbed to his injuries. Gurdeep Singh Mundi, 37, was taken to hospital with life-threatening stab wounds, and police said he died approximately three weeks later, on Wednesday.
