Alberta Premier Danielle Smith's recent comments to right-wing U.S. media outlet Breitbart quickly drew reaction from party leaders seeking to position themselves as the best option to manage a contentious relationship with U.S. President Donald Trump.

Three new measles cases have been confirmed in Alberta pushing the south zone into an outbreak. The additional cases, reported midday on Monday, are all in the same household as an Ontario resident who travelled to the Taber area and tested positive, prompting a recent public health alert.
