Hi, Art!

Sunday, May 22, 2022

Hi, art lovers!

Even without last year’s fabulous wig budget, the Governor General’s Performing Arts Awards (GGPAA) is considered one of the greatest celebrations of Canadian culture, and the 2022 ceremony goes down on Saturday, May 28, at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa. Leading up to the big event, we’ll be running articles about this year’s laureates, and some of those stories are already available for your weekend reading. The full list of honourees? Fernand Dansereau, Rita Shelton Deverell, David Foster, Tomson Highway, Linda Rabin, Michelle Smith and Crystal Pite.

And because we promised you eye candy ...

Photo collage. Image of yellow tulips growing in green grass in front of a brick wall. The pattern of plants growing against a chain link fence is cut out of the image creating an overlay effect in silhouette.
